Overview

E2E in partnership with 5DInteractive is currently developing a simulator for determining the impact of flooding in a situation awareness and response settings.

We are actively working with hydrologists and disaster response personnel to develop the interactive 3D simulation tool. The tool is designed to allow users to rapidly assess the impact of flooding on infrastructure and therefor disaster response.
The tool is designed to work at a local suburb level but also at catchment level and takes in to account the effects of up-stream effects and time lag.

Users are able to determine or predict what critical infrastructure is at risk at different flood heights as well as what type of properties are at risk.

The application can import most common formats of GIS data in real-time. Typically the application imports terrain data, roads, lot and block boundaries and associated data as well as point data of critical infrastructure.

A beta release is expected in July 2013.
